Welcome to my website, Keeping up with Krista! I'm a Holistic Nutritionist and Private Chef with a passion for creating healthy and delicious meals to help heal and nourish the body

My passion for holistic health started back in 2016 when I attended Bauman College, a holistic nutrition and

culinary arts school, in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Upon completion of the program, I began working and learning beside Chef Allen Campbell, TB12 Author and Chef.  Through this experience, I gained much knowledge on sports nutrition and cooking meals for clients looking to enhance their athletic performance. This inspired me to start my own personal chef/meal delivery business.  A couple years after starting my business, I began working with clients directly in their home as a Private Chef.  This jump started my excitement for getting the opportunity to plate and serve clients in the comfort of their home.    

 

Alongside my culinary education, I also hold certifications from IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) as a Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Gut Health Specialist as well as a Holistic Nutritionist Certification from AFPA (American Fitness Professionals Association). I especially enjoy cooking Italian and Mediterranean inspired cuisine.  In October 2023, I ventured out to Southern Italy where I completed the Evolution of Italian Cuisine at the Italian Culinary Institute. I received an in depth learning of regional Italian cooking, recipe development, exploration of local farmers markets, homemade pasta and baking as well as some cultural travel.

With every client, Krista prioritizes using only the highest quality food, organic and locally sourced produce, grass-fed and pasture raised meats and wild caught seafood. It is important to Krista to cook with real whole foods to obtain optimal health and wellness. She makes a point to utilize anti-inflammatory ingredients and steer clear of highly processed foods, seed oils etc. She has worked with several clients with varying diets and is able to understand the complexity of numerous health conditions for clients who may need to go on particular protocols in order to heal.  Her strong understanding on the importance of gut health helps her navigate clients conditions with care.  Understanding how to substitute certain ingredients and make meals look not only visually stunning, but delicious, is her specialty.  She enjoys and has much passion for creating fun diverse menus that allow her to express her creativity through colorful, artistic plating.
